Kite Surfing
Bali
Bali and the Indian Ocean has long been a very popular surfer's travel destination with its powerful, open ocean swells and consistent trade winds. Over the last three years kite surfers have discovered Bali's great potential as a world class kite surfing destination. The average wind speed in
Bali is 10 - 15 knots with other islands in the region reaching 15 - 25 knots.
Courses are held for beginners to the sport, at Nusa Dua beach (Geger) on Bali's south coast. Nusa Dua is one of Bali's finest and safest beaches where a natural coral reef creates a wide, shallow lagoon noted for its crystal clear
waters. It is a perfect place for kiting.
Kite surfing tours are also now available in many areas throughout the islands of Indonesia with tours designed for all levels of skill from the new beginner to the most advanced kite surfer. |
